Job Description

You are looking for a Senior Manager/Associate Vice President in Consumer Insights to join our Research & Strategy team. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving data-informed decision-making across programming and marketing by combining quantitative research with qualitative insights to create compelling narratives for internal stakeholders. Your main responsibility will be to bridge the gap between the quantitative research team, qualitative researchers, and the programming strategy function to synthesize data into actionable insights and strategic presentations for senior management, content creators, and marketing teams. Your duties will include leading the analysis of audience data using tools such as BARC, internal analytics platforms, and other industry-standard measurement tools. You will interpret and visualize large data sets to extract key performance insights across genres, time slots, demographics, and platforms. By integrating quantitative data with qualitative research like focus groups, viewer feedback, and social listening, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of audience behavior and identify emerging content trends, consumption patterns, and market opportunities to shape content development and scheduling. You will be responsible for developing clear, concise, and strategic insight decks and presentations for senior management, programming, and marketing teams. Your ability to translate data into storytelling frameworks that are easy to understand will guide decision-making across content acquisition, creation, and positioning. Moreover, you will collaborate closely with Programming, Marketing, Qualitative Research, Consumer Insights, and Digital Strategy teams to align goals and drive cohesive strategies, serving as the primary point of contact for quantitative insights within the broader Research & Strategy ecosystem. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Media Studies, Business Analytics, or related fields. Ideally, you should have 12+ years of experience in a media/entertainment environment with a strong focus on audience research and insights. Proficiency in BARC software and television/digital audience measurement systems is crucial, along with strong quantitative analysis skills and hands-on experience in BARC, Excel, Power BI, or similar data tools. To excel in this role, you must possess excellent storytelling skills with data, crafting compelling presentations using PowerPoint, Tableau, or other visualization tools. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and a strategic approach are essential qualities for this position. Preferred qualifications include experience in broadcast, streaming, or digital content strategy, exposure to qualitative research methods, and prior work in fast-paced environments with content or creative teams.,
