Senior Manager - Cloud CoE

Purpose/Objective

Senior Manager Cloud-CoE will contribute the strategic direction, design, and execution of hybrid cloud initiatives across the enterprise. This role is responsible for driving cloud adoption, managing hybrid architectures (on-prem + multi-cloud), and ensuring operational excellence through automation, FinOps, and DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing large-scale cloud transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Strategic Leadership - Define and execute the hybrid cloud strategy aligned with enterprise digital transformation goals, ensuring it supports business transformation and operational efficiency - Contribute as CoE Lead and drive innovation, governance, and best practices across business units. - Collaborate with senior leadership \ HOD \ DR and RM to align cloud initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Architecture & Delivery - Leads hybrid cloud architecture design and execution, covering on-prem, multi-cloud, and edge deployments - Oversees the development of repeatable standards and reference architectures to guide BU-level implementations - Establish governance frameworks, including decision matrices, vendor evaluation criteria, and compliance protocols - Senior Manager Cloud-CoE contributes in managing large-scale transformation programs, such as the Enterprise Data Lake, NextGen Automation and so on. - Coordinates project timelines, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with business priorities and compliance needs - Oversees cloud operations and service delivery, including Catalog customization, alerting mechanisms, and billing integration. - Close collaboration with BU-level champions and advisory partners to identify cloud opportunities - Facilitating knowledge sharing, including implementation documents and project trackers - Number of frameworks and guidelines published and adopted across BUs - Close collaboration with BU-level champions and advisory partners to identify cloud opportunities. - Facilitating knowledge sharing, including implementation documents and project trackers. Data Backup & SLA Management - Contribute in Defining and enforce backup policies using Azure Backup, AWS Backup. - Ensure SLA compliance for RTO/RPO using Databricks Delta Lake, Azure Site Recovery, and Commvault. Conduct periodic DR drills and validate backup integrity across hybrid environments. Cloud CoE Operations: - Establish and manage Cloud CoE processes using tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, and ServiceNow. - Monitor and report on CoE KPIs such as adoption rate, SLA adherence, and BU satisfaction. - Use Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, and Google Cloud Operations Suite for observability and performance tracking. Operations & Optimization - Drive FinOps practices to optimize cloud spend and improve cost transparency. - Implement automation for provisioning, monitoring, and incident response to enhance operational efficiency. - Establish and enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security frameworks. - Efficiency metrics such as cost optimization, policy compliance, and alert visibility Business Unit Support - Provide architectural guidance using Azure Architecture Center, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and GCP Cloud Architecture Center. - Support BU-specific implementations with ARM templates, CloudFormation, and Google Deployment Manager. - Facilitate knowledge sharing via Confluence, SharePoint, and internal CoE portals. Automation & Optimization - Drive automation using Terraform, Ansible & Azure Automation - Implement FinOps practices using CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, and Azure Cost Management. - Track efficiency metrics using Power BI, Grafana, and Looker. Governance & Compliance - Implement governance using Azure Policy, AWS Config, and GCP Organization Policies. - Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks. - Maintain audit readiness with tools like Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Microsoft Purview. Documentation Maintain the solution blueprint and ensure the design is developed as per the same. Team & Stakeholder Management - Build and mentor a high-performing team of cloud architects, engineers, and operations staff. - Engage with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, Security, Finance) and external partners to ensure seamless delivery. - Represent the cloud practice in steering committees, audits, and executive reviews. - Build and mentor a team skilled in Kubernetes, Docker, Databricks, and Apache Airflow. - Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement using agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices. Technical Competencies

Google Cloud Professional Architect.,AWS Certified Solutions Architect,Azure Solutions Architect Expert,Experience in regulated industries

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field - Multi Cloud certifications preferred - Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), infrastructure as code(Terraform, ARM), and DevOps/DevSecOps tools. Expertise in FinOps, cloud security, and compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.) will be added advantage. - 10-12 years of IT experience with at least 4-5 years in a cloud management role. - Proven experience in managing hybrid cloud environments and large-scale cloud transformations. - Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect. - Experience in regulated industries (e.g., energy, utilities, infrastructure). Strong communication, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills.
