Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair to specifications: brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical systems, suspension and alignment, and air conditioning.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment functional condition by listening to operator complaints, conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, fixing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, replacing parts/components, and repairing body damage.
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and/or overhaul automotive electrical and electronic control systems on equipment/vehicles as well as Ground Power Units (GPU).
• Provide direction and oversight for more complex and difficult work to less experienced staff responsible for vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Clearly explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-electrical personnel.
• Maintain an organized and neat workshop and recovery vehicle.
• Work as part of a team, under the direction of the Night Report/Maintenance Supervisor, performing all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repairs on all equipment and vehicles to ensure 24-hour operational reliability.
• Report requirements for spares, tools, or outside repair work to the supervisor.

Education:

• Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience,

  or

• Bachelors degree in Engineering in any discipline
  

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum of 48 months (4 years) of experience in the relevant field
• Ability to manage and handle a large workforce
• Good command of computer applications
