Senior Legal Associate - Contract Management

As a Senior Legal Associate at NES Fircroft in Bangalore, your role will involve supporting legal and compliance functions by managing supplier-related processes, assisting in contract reviews, and ensuring timely responses to legal queries. You will need to work independently, handle stakeholder communications, and maintain high standards of turnaround time. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Global Supplier Onboarding & Compliance:** Oversee the global supplier onboarding and management process to ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards. - **Contract Review & Risk Assessment:** Review supplier contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and other legal documents to identify risks and ensure alignment with company interests. - **Vendor Management Support:** Assist the Assistant Legal Manager in managing the vendor management process, including documentation, compliance checks, and coordination with relevant teams. - **Internal Legal Collaboration:** Collaborate with internal teams to address legal review queries, providing guidance and ensuring timely and accurate responses. - **Contract Lifecycle Monitoring:** Monitor contract expiry alerts and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely renewals or closures. - **Stakeholder Engagement:** Independently engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and resolve legal queries, including participating in calls and discussions. - **Inbox & Request Management:** Manage the VM email inbox, ensuring all incoming requests are tracked, assigned, and responded to within defined TAT. - **Legal Research & Compliance Assistance:** Support the General Manager in conducting legal research and handling compliance-related matters as required. - **Operational Efficiency & Timeliness:** Maintain a strong focus on meeting turnaround times across all responsibilities, ensuring efficient and timely legal operations. - **Supplier Due Diligence & Risk Mitigation:** Support the onboarding process of new suppliers by assisting in comprehensive due diligence. Evaluate potential legal liabilities and risks and provide recommendations and actions to mitigate exposure. **Qualifications Required:** - **Commercial Risk Analysis:** Ability to understand commercial risk parameters and apply solutions coherently. - **Critical Thinking & Inquiry:** Questioning approach to clarify or understand issues. - **Effective Communication Strategy:** Identifying key points for communication and selecting appropriate communication methods. - **Information Gathering & Decision Making:** Gathering information from multiple sources, analyzing, critiquing, and making informed recommendations. - **Legal Expertise:** Strong understanding of contract law and vendor management processes. - **Stakeholder Management:** Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - **Independent Work Ethic:** Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. - **Detail Orientation:** Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines. - **Relevant Experience:** Prior experience in legal operations or contract management is preferred.
