Senior Leadership Position in Finance Team

As an independent Grant Accountant and Donor Reporting Manager at our Mumbai office, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of grant accounting and donor reporting. Your role will involve working closely with the Finance Manager to oversee expense accounting and management. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Lead Financial Controller to ensure the efficient functioning of the Finance team and supervise a team of finance professionals in Mumbai and Pune. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Independently managing all donor-related budgeting, reporting, audits, and MIS - Supporting the Finance Manager in ensuring accurate accounting of expenses and income - Facilitating and managing internal and statutory audits - Proactively reviewing systems and processes for enhanced productivity - Assisting the Lead Financial Controller in meeting statutory and legal compliances To excel in this role, you will need: - Knowledge and expertise in statutory compliances such as TDS, GST, and EPF - Strong understanding of internal controls and processes for efficient finance operations - Ability to uphold professional standards and support senior leadership - Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders - Capability to mentor and lead a team effectively - Proficiency in English and Hindi, with knowledge of Marathi considered a plus Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in commerce or accounting Key Competencies: - Strong grasp of finance operations and compliance - Leadership and team management skills - Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Attention to detail and accuracy - Effective collaboration and communication skills Please note that the compensation for this position will be competitive and dependent on your prior work experience and profile.,
