Senior Journalist

Position Overview:
The Senior Journalist is responsible for leading high-quality news reporting, content creation, and editorial oversight across print, digital, and broadcast platforms. This role requires strong investigative skills, excellent storytelling abilities, and the capacity to guide junior reporters while ensuring accuracy, credibility, and timely delivery of news.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, investigate, and develop in-depth news stories, features, and reports.
• Conduct interviews with key sources, public figures, and subject-matter experts.
• Write clear, engaging, and factually accurate news content for various media platforms.
• Review and edit articles prepared by junior reporters to maintain editorial standards.
• Collaborate closely with editors, photographers, and the digital media team.
• Ensure ethical journalism practices, accuracy in reporting, and compliance with organizational guidelines.
• Cover breaking news promptly and handle high-priority assignments with professionalism.
• Develop strong networks of contacts to gather reliable information and leads.
• Assist in planning content calendars and newsroom strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior journalists to improve writing quality and reporting skills.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of proven experience in journalism or news reporting.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of current affairs, media ethics, and newsroom operations.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in digital publishing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends or holidays when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
