Senior Java Developer

A Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java technologies. You will play a leadership role in the development process and mentor junior developers. Your key responsibilities will include: Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications, ensuring they meet functional and technical requirements. System Architecture: Contribute to and design the system architecture, making high-level decisions about technology choices, design patterns, and frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance. Code Review & Mentorship: Review code written by other developers to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior or mid-level developers. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance issues, such as memory leaks or slow response times, and ensure applications are running efficiently. Troubleshooting & Debugging: Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, both independently and as part of a team. Collaboration: Work closely with other teams (like product, quality assurance, and UI/UX teams) to ensure the final product meets user needs and technical requirements. Database Design & Management: Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and ensure seamless integration between Java applications and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.). Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other automated tests to ensure software quality. Maintain test coverage and continuously improve testing practices. Version Control: Manage and maintain code using version control systems like Git, ensuring proper branching, merging, and versioning. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design documents, API documentation, and system architecture. Agile Development: Participate in agile development cycles (Scrum or Kanban), attending stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings. Contribute to sprint goals and deliverables. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes to ensure the efficient and reliable delivery of software. Research & Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and explore new tools and technologies to improve the development process. Security: Ensure that the software adheres to security best practices, including secure coding practices, data encryption, and vulnerability management.,
