Senior Java Developer (5–10+ years)

Mind Match Talent is hiring a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and optimise backend services for our core products. You will take ownership of critical microservices, mentor team members, and help drive architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. ● Own REST API design and implementation across multiple services. ● Optimize database queries, schemas, and transactions (MySQL). ● Implement background jobs (Cron / schedulers) and integrate with external systems. ● Ensure system reliability through JUnit tests, integration tests, and code reviews. ● Collaborate with DevOps to improve AWS deployments and scaling (load balancers, RDS, etc.). Instrument and monitor services using OpenTelemetry, ELK, and other observability tools. ● Participate in architectural discussions, performance reviews, and technical decision-making. ● Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements

● 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development. ● Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. ● Strong SQL skills; experience with MySQL performance tuning. ● Experience designing and consuming REST APIs. ● Familiarity with AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, load balancers). ● Understanding of distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring. ● Experience with code reviews, mentoring, and guiding technical discussions. ● Proficient with Git workflows: feature branching, merging, resolving conflicts, using pull requests effectively. ● Works comfortably with Jira: breaking down tasks, estimating, updating status. ● Familiar with CI/CD pipelines. ● Can participate in defining branching strategies and improving release processes. ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

● Experience with message queues or streaming platforms. ● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). ● Familiarity with security best practices for backend services.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
