nGenue Software delivers intelligent, data-driven solutions for the energy industry. As part of our growing HR & Operations team, you'll lead end-to-end HR compliance, payroll, and appraisal processes ensuring our internal governance stays precise, timely, and audit-ready. This is a senior role that demands strong ownership, process discipline, and cross-functional co-ordination.

Role Overview

You will manage statutory compliance, payroll accuracy, and employee performance processes while partnering with finance, auditors, and external agencies. The role involves handling regulatory filings, vendor and bank coordination, and ensuring seamless integration between HR, finance, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly payroll processing verify salary inputs, deductions, reimbursements, and final settlements.
  • Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Income Tax) and file returns accurately on time.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, Chartered Accountants (CA), and labor consultants for compliance audits.
  • Manage employee data accuracy and documentation for audits, ISO, and regulatory checks.
  • Liaise with banks for salary disbursements, account openings, and statutory payments.
  • Prepare HR dashboards, reports and MIS headcount, attrition, salary cost, and statutory compliance.
  • Update and enforce HR policies aligned with current labor laws and company practices.
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll, taxation, benefits, and documentation.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives in payroll, attendance, and HRMS integrations.
  • Collaborate and monitor the annual performance appraisal cycle, including goal-setting, evaluation, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in HR, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience managing payroll, compliance, and HR operations (preferably in IT/Software or Services).
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory returns, and payroll taxation.
  • Experience coordinating with auditors, CAs, and statutory departments.
  • Proficiency with HRMS tools, Excel, and accounting/payroll software.
  • Experience in salary structuring, employee taxation and TDS computation.
  • Experience managing confidential HR & financial data.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and inter-departmental coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail, ownership, and integrity.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience handling HR audits, ISO/Statutory audits, and government inspections.
  • Process mindset with an eye for automation and compliance efficiency.
