Job Description

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, incumbent will play a critical role in the Hardware Team, driving the design and development of advanced power conversion and electronic systems, including embedded platforms and PCB-based hardware. This position carries end-to-end responsibility for electronic product design & development, encompassing schematic design, PCB development, assembly, integration, and validation testing. You will leverage your expertise in power electronics; particularly AC-DC and DC-DC conversion systems to deliver robust, high-performance hardware solutions that meet customer expectations as well as regulatory and compliance standards.

Role & responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of the complete design life cycle of electronic products.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of high-frequency power conversion topologies.
  • Translate customer requirements into detailed product and sub-system specifications.
  • Design and develop schematics based on defined specifications.
  • Calculate, select, and define specifications for individual electronic components.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of electronic components and their applications.
  • Plan, develop, and execute test strategies for high-frequency power conversion products.
  • Guide prototype bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging activities.
  • Collaborate with customers during product validation and approval stages.
  • Lead and support compliance and certification testing activities.
  • Represent the organization in technical discussions with customers and certification agencies.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and review their technical work for quality and accuracy.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent analytical abilities with hands on experience in the power electronic domain (minimum 7 +Years).
  • Experience in AC- DC converter and DC-DC converter.
  • Embedded programming using advanced processors including DSP programming.
  • Power supply designs involving Buck, Boost & Fly back topologies, PFC, LLC,PSFB & MPPT configurations.
  • Concepts of Grid Tie or Interactive Grid Power converters for High frequency sine wave Inverter.
  • Design concepts ranging Low Power conversion circuits (100 Watts) to Mid Power conversion circuits (5 KWatt).
  • Power Integrity / Switching Noise / EMI- related problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of

    control algorithms

    for power electronic and embedded control systems.
  • Proficiency in

    digital and analog control domains

    , including analysis and design using

    transfer functions, poles and zeros, and digital filters

    .
  • Ability to provide

    PCB layout guidance

    , including component placement, grounding, signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, and power routing best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 1 year experience in power consumption.
