Senior Hardware Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Needs to be proficient in the designing and testing of high reliability circuits, preferably

medical this is low power, analogue and digital design

2. Also needs the ability to specify test procedures for their own design and carry out the testing and reporting

3. Must understand EMC design requirements and testing

4. Must be aware of Design for Manufacture techniques

5. Needs the ability to use test equipment to fault-find a circuit design

6. Schematic preparation from the paper schematic of the design concept.

7. Should able to follow the standard design guidelines of the clearance

8. Design PCB layouts to develop high-speed and reliable circuits.

9. Analyse and resolve design related issues in a timely manner.

10. Review and recommend improvements to existing designs.

11. Assist in preparing test procedures and developing test fixtures to verify PCB functions.

12. Provide support to PCB engineering, manufacturing and packaging teams when required

13. Work with project team in understanding circuit requirements and limitations

14. Work closely with project management to ensure alignment of plans with deliverables.

15. Develop design documentations and requirements specifications for assigned projects

Qualification:

Bachelors / Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics / Medical electronics engineering.

Experience:

8+years - Embedded Hardware development with end to end board bring up knowledge.

Essential Skills:

a. Must be capable of using Altium, needs at least three years experience with it

b. Experienced schematic and PCB design in digital, analog, power and microcontroller / microprocessor-based designs.

c. Thorough understanding of high speed design and critical component placement.

d. Self-motivated to carry hands on work with the ability to debug and fix issues in hardware system.

e. Demonstrated experience in design reviews through the product development lifecycle.

f. Define requirements for electronics hardware, test sequence definitions.

g. Hands-on experience with schematic, layout

h. Hands-on experience with signal and power integrity design.

i. Ability to drive board bring up, performance testing and reliability demonstration.

j. Positive attitude to explore, drive and passionate in excelling on the technology goals.

k. Good communication skills to communicate with customers, research partners, business leaders and team members.
