Senior General Manager- Manufacturing Operations

Role Overview: You will be joining LAL as a full-time Senior General Manager - Manufacturing Operations based in Bengaluru. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing daily production planning, managing manufacturing operations, ensuring operational excellence, and leading the operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced productivity and quality. Key Responsibilities: - Lead manufacturing strategy in alignment with business goals. - Plan capacity expansions and automation based on demand forecasts. - Drive operational excellence and implement lean manufacturing best practices. - Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality and safety. - Monitor daily operations, troubleshoot process issues, and optimize productivity through process improvements. - Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, ISO, and other relevant regulatory standards. - Implement and maintain robust quality assurance and control procedures. - Coordinate closely with R&D and QA teams for new product introductions and enhancements. - Lead and mentor plant heads, production managers, and shift supervisors. - Build a high-performance culture through structured training, appraisals, and feedback systems. - Foster a safe, disciplined, and positive work environment across units. - Monitor and manage manufacturing budgets, raw material utilization, and waste reduction. - Identify cost-saving opportunities through automation, layout changes, or sourcing alternatives. - Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, R&D, Procurement, and HR teams for seamless plant functioning. - Play a key role in audits, customer visits, and management reviews. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or relevant discipline (MBA is a plus). - Minimum 12 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing in a leadership role. - Strong understanding of food production systems, packaging, hygiene, and safety norms. - Proven track record in managing large-scale production setups and teams. - Hands-on experience in lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. - Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.,
