Senior Full Stack Developer- payment gateway

Designation: Senior Developer
Location : Mumbai Experience: 4+ years (in payment gateway Industry) Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize our high- performance payment processing platform. You will work on mission-critical services that enable secure, scalable, and real-time financial transactions used by global merchants. Responsibilities • Architect, develop, and maintain backend services for payment authorization, settlement, fraud detection, and reconciliation. • Ensure high system reliability, low latency, and strong fault-tolerance across distributed systems. • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices. • Collaborate with Product, Security, DevOps, and Compliance teams to deliver PCI- compliant solutions. • Design and optimize APIs and microservices powering the core payment flows. • Improve system observability through logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response. • Lead technical discussions, propose architectural improvements, and drive long-term engineering roadmap. Requirements • 4+ years of experience in payment solution industry in backend development (Java,Node.js, or similar). • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, and event-driven architectures. • Proven experience building scalable financial or payment platforms. • Expertise with SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues (RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.). • Familiarity with PCI DSS, encryption, tokenization, and security best practices. • Experience with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills. • Strong proficiency in *Java, **Spring Boot, **Hibernate*, **postgrade** • Frontend: *HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like **React.js* or *Angular* • Experience with *REST APIs, **MySQL/PostgreSQL, and **Git* • Familiarity with *DevOps tools, **Docker, or **cloud platforms* is a plus
