Job Title Senior Front End Developer (Remote) Experience: 5+ Years CTC: 9-12 LPA Job Description About Rocket Learning Rocket Learning is a high growth ed-tech non-profit with the mission of catalyzing early childhood education and community engagement in India We work with central government and state governments to impact over 4mn children Established by a passionate founding group (IIT, IIM, HBS, Rochester, MBB,start-up alumni) Board and backed by reputed funders, we are a diverse team of passionate, energetic and optimistic folks with a shared ambition of transforming Indias education system, Note: We are an equal opportunity organisation and will preferentially hire women/ LGBTQ/ Dalit/ Bahujan/ Adivasi/ disabled candidates, If you are interested, please email us at careers@rocketlearning org with your resume and cover note, Overview We are looking for a passionate and responsible senior Front-End Developer with at least 5+ years of experience and expertise with ReactJS to join our team, who should be able to create a functional and attractive platform while mentoring the team members and ensuring great user experience, Key results Connect with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide better solutions, Able to solve potential problems, Writing reusable code considering edge cases and unpredictable user behaviour Taking ownership of the projects/workstreams and managing it end-to-end Design thinking and building solutions with scalability and stability in mind, Key activities Building UI/UX from scratch and improving the existing one Managing, developing and enhancing modules for front-end Writing quality code with proper documentation/comments and best practices Reviewing code for team members and keep them motivated Communicating the work progress with stakeholders Performing other relevant day to day operational tasks Areas of responsibilities The assigned projects from end-to-end Communication from the design phase/requirements to announcing the launch Being a team player or working independently as applicable Supporting team members, helping them and mentor them when needed Critical factors for success Experience of 5+ years as a frontend developer Must have experience in ReactJS, React Hooks, React ContextAPI, MySQL, Material UI Good to have experience working with Typescript, PHP Laravel, MongoDB, GraphQL System Design experience would be preferred Ability to take leadership/ownership in ambiguous situations, even when unsupervised Seamless communication with your manager and other team members Close alignment with RL's core values and principles Mission driven, enthusiastic and optimistic committed to transformation Innovative thinking and curiosity
