Senior FPGA Engineer

As a highly motivated and experienced Senior FPGA Engineer at Vicharak, you will be a crucial part of the core research and development team, focusing on advancing the performance, efficiency, and capabilities of FPGA-based computing platforms. Your role will involve pushing the boundaries of hardware acceleration for AI/ML models and autonomous systems. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct FPGA Architecture Research to design high-performance and power-efficient FPGA architectures for accelerating AI/ML models and real-time control systems. - Collaborate with the software team to enhance proprietary toolchains (Gati, Periplex) for improved performance, latency, and resource utilization. - Design, implement, and verify critical IP cores and system components using Verilog/VHDL and HLS techniques. - Develop methodologies for benchmarking FPGA designs, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing the hardware-software stack. - Oversee the integration of complex FPGA designs within the complete system, ensuring seamless interaction with embedded processors and operating systems. - Stay updated on FPGA technology, computer architecture, and AI acceleration, proposing innovative solutions and contributing to patents or publications. Required Qualifications: - Education: Masters degree or Ph.D. in ECE, VLSI, or related field. - Experience: 0 to 3 years of industry experience in FPGA design, architecture, and research for high-performance computing or embedded systems. - Expert-level proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and deep understanding of advanced FPGA features. - Hands-on experience with Xilinx Vivado/Vitis, Intel Quartus, and synthesis, placement, and routing optimization techniques. - Proven experience in designing hardware accelerators for parallel data processing, signal processing, or AI/ML inference. - Strong background in using High-Level Synthesis (HLS) tools and understanding of computer architecture and memory hierarchies.
