Role Overview

Senior Finance Manager / Finance Head

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee full spectrum of finance, accounting, and taxation for IMFL distribution business.
  
• Prepare monthly

  P&L, Balance Sheet, MIS reports

  , and financial dashboards for management review.
• Monitor budgets, variances, and financial performance indicators.
  

2. Excise, Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure 100% compliance with

  state excise laws, permits, challans, EAS, stock transfers, duty payments

  , etc.
• File statutory returns (GST, TDS, excise-related reporting) on time and maintain regulatory documentation.
  

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable Control

• Manage vendor accounts, supplier payments, credit management, and reconciliation.
  
• Monitor outstanding collections and ensure timely follow-up with sales team/distributors.
  
• Reconcile statements with suppliers, transporters, and customers.
  

4. Inventory, Cost & Margin Analysis

• Oversee inventory accounting for godowns, depots, and bonded warehouses.
  
• Ensure accurate tracking of

  breakages, shortages, expiry

  , and dead stock.
• Review product-wise margins and profitability statements.
  

5. Internal Controls & Audit

• Implement strong internal financial controls as per company and industry standards.
  
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors for periodic audits.
  
• Prevent leakages, pilferage, and ensure transparent financial operations.
  

6. Banking, Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Handle banking operations, fund flow planning, and working capital management.
  
• Maintain strong relationships with banks for OD, CC limits, and loan documentation.
  
• Ensure timely disbursal of salaries, vendor payments, and statutory dues.
  

7. Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and mentor the accounts team with clear KPIs and accountability.
  
• Work closely with the

  Sales, Logistics, and Operations

  teams for seamless business coordination.
• Support management in financial decision-making.
  

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Commerce/Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA-Finance / CA Inter preferred).
  

• 6to12 years of relevant experience

  in IMFL / liquor distribution / FMCG distribution / beverages industry.
• Strong knowledge of

  Excise laws, GST, TDS, MIS reporting

  , and distribution accounting.
• Experience handling

  multi-company accounts

  is an added advantage.

• Strong analytical and financial modelling capability.
  
• Excellent command of Tally ERP, advanced Excel, and MIS automation tools.
  
• Deep understanding of liquor industry compliance, permits, and documentation.
