About the Role

The Senior Manager Finance will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of a dynamic Media & Entertainment business. This includes production finance, revenue tracking across platforms, cost management for shows, films, and branded content, and ensuring strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in accounting, financial compliance and cash flow management specific to the entertainment ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Track project profitability, revenue recognition, and financial performance across verticals (broadcast, OTT, digital, IP, partnerships).

2. Production Finance & Cost Control

• Oversee end-to-end accounting.

• Ensure accurate cost reports, cash flows, and vendor payments for production teams.

• Manage working budgets, cost approvals, change orders, and reconcile actuals vs. budgets.

3. Revenue Management

• Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and contract compliance with platforms and partners

4. Compliance, Legal & Audit

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements relevant to production and talent payouts.

• Manage audit processes including production audits, channel audits, and statutory/internal audits.

• Maintain compliance with industry-specific norms (talent contracts, copyright royalty norms, etc.).

5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage project-wise and company-wide cash flow

• Optimize working capital by managing payment cycles, vendor credit, and collection timelines.

6. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead the finance and accounts teams with clear processes and timelines.

• Work closely with creative, production, legal, marketing, and business development teams.

• Build a culture of financial discipline, transparency, and strong inter-departmental coordination.

Qualifications & Requirements

• CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.

• 3+ years of experience in Finance, preferably in Media, Entertainment, OTT, TV Production, Film Production, or Digital Content (Don't apply if you don't meet this requirement, application won't be considered)

• Strong experience in budgeting, and project-based accounting.

• Sound understanding of industry commercial models, platform deals, and talent payouts.

• Proficiency in Excel, Tally, accounting systems.

• Strong communication skills and comfort working with creative and production teams.
