Position Summary

The Senior SAP FICO Functional Consultant will be responsible for providing deep SAP FICO expertise to support business requirements, implement new functionalities, and drive enhancements across Fossil’s global Finance landscape. The role involves understanding business processes, performing detailed configuration, preparing functional/technical documentation, and coordinating with technical and cross-functional teams.
The position requires strong leadership in driving SAP Finance projects, issue resolution, and collaboration with business stakeholders and global architects.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Implementation

• Gain rapid understanding of existing SAP FICO configuration and system landscape.
  
• Translate business requirements and blueprinting documents into detailed configuration designs.
  
• Write functional specifications based on blueprinting and process documents.
  
• Configure SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, COPA, SPL, Product Costing, etc.) as per design.
  
• Create test data and perform unit testing and system integration testing in QA.
  
• Collaborate with global architects on solution design and process harmonization.
  
• Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP/PI/PO/IDOC teams) for development and interface requirements.
  
• Assist business users during UAT and provide timely issue resolution.
  
• Participate in knowledge transfer to third-party service providers.
  

Project Execution & Documentation

• Drive SAP FICO-related projects, enhancements, and changes by engaging the right stakeholders.
  
• Provide complete functional and technical documentation for developments.
  
• Ensure issue analysis and problem solving by presenting effective solution options.
  
• Support Go-Live readiness, hypercare, and post-deployment activities.
  
• Prepare end-user documentation and deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions.
  

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on SAP FICO experience with strong expertise in FI.
  
• Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP implementations.
  
• Strong understanding of core SAP FI functions and configurations.
  
• S/4HANA working experience is an advantage.
  
• Good integration knowledge with SD and MM (preferably in Retail industry).
  
• Strong interface experience including SFCC, PI/PO, OMS, and IDOCs.
  
• Experience working on O2C flow and retail business processes.
  
• Hands-on experience with DMEE, EBS, APP, ICR, Dunning, and new banking setup.
  
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specs and configuration.
  
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
