Your responsibilities will involve sourcing various electronic parts such as PCBs, sensors, microcontrollers, connectors, and more for medical devices. You will need to work closely with suppliers, both local and international, to evaluate capabilities, negotiate pricing, and maintain quality standards. Collaboration with R&D and Engineering teams is essential to understand BOM requirements, component specifications, and explore alternative options for obsolete or long lead-time components. Your role will also focus on driving cost savings through strategic sourcing, volume consolidation, and effective vendor negotiations while upholding quality standards. Ensuring regulatory and quality compliance is paramount in this role. You will be responsible for verifying that all sourced components meet relevant quality standards such as ISO 13485, RoHS, REACH, and CE. Monitoring material requirements based on MRP, ensuring on-time delivery of components, and optimizing inventory are key aspects of this position. Additionally, maintaining procurement records, vendor data, and material master entries will be necessary. Operating within ERP systems like SAP or Oracle for PR to PO processing and reporting will also be part of your daily tasks. To excel in this role, you should hold a Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in electronics sourcing or procurement within the medical equipment manufacturing industry is required. Strong technical knowledge of electronic components, negotiation skills, familiarity with supply chains, ERP systems, and proficiency in MS Office tools are essential for success in this position.
