About the Role : Demandbase is seeking a creative, highly motivated, enthusiastic Sr. Manager of Engineering to be a part of our DB1S team. You will work in a fast paced agile environment to build and deliver key initiatives for the company. Were looking for people who are excellent at fundamentals, have a willingness to learn, and have an unstoppable desire to follow through with the job. What youll be doing Lead teams to deliver key initiatives and help advance technology and product roadmaps. Provide deep technical leadership, responsible for technical decision making, including establishing requirements, coordinating technical interface with customers, and advising leadership and customers on all technical aspects and issues Be accountable for driving project execution, work cross-functionally with technology development teams and business teams to ship product on time with high quality Collaborate with product managers to define future products and product enhancements Leading, mentoring, motivating, and working with a geographically distributed team Effectively manage individual goals and objectives, performance, and employee development Ensure the right culture, processes, and technology investments are in place for future product launches Run and improve an agile/rapid development process Ensure that appropriate knowledge management is exercised to maximize the transfer of knowledge to new team members and projects. Provide regular communications, including KPI results, project progress, and relevant cost metrics to engineering leaders, functional leaders, and project management teams. What were looking for 12+ years of relevant experience in building large-scale enterprise solutions as a technical leader. 4+ years of engineering management and Agile development experience. Hands-on leader with experience delving into software architecture and design details. Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture. Proficient in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and NoSQL databases. Familiar with observability tools and practices for monitoring products. Experience in building high-quality products using CI/CD practices. Keen interest in learning new skill sets, with the ability to quickly grasp new technologies, software, and concepts. Solid understanding of product development processes with proven experience in moving from strategy to execution, delivering results with minimal guidance, and effectively communicating insights and ideas across organizations. Good understanding of the complexities and challenges in large-scale distributed systems on AWS. Proven ability to inspire team confidence and performance, recruit and mentor technical talent, foster a strong engineering culture, and lead by example. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English. Capable of working with both offshore and onshore teams to achieve goals. Experienced in collaborating with engineering teams to refine and improve development and delivery processes. Customer-focused, action-oriented, high energy, detail-oriented, and an analytical thinker. Comfortable managing multiple projects in parallel.
