Senior Engineer-Trade Compliance

Your Role: You will be responsible for analyzing the technical details of parts/products of Atlas Copco parts and providing them with the correct HS code as per European, Indian, USA, and Chinese customs & WTO guidelines. You will need to understand the logic behind The General Rules for the Interpretation (GRI) of the Harmonized System and screen parts for Dual-Use regulations. Daily reporting to service centers in Belgium, USA, and India, as well as other customer centers & product companies of Atlas Copco group globally, will be part of your routine. It will be essential to stay updated with the latest developments in the global trade compliance field and related legislations. Ensuring proper resource planning for effective utilization, developing training programs for the team's technical growth, and sharing updates on technology/knowledge gained will also be part of your responsibilities. You will drive change by leveraging new technology and innovations to improve overall effectiveness, maintain relationships with customers and resolve technical queries/issues raised by customs authorities, and mentor fellow colleagues.
