Senior Engineer - Quality

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we re looking to add a Senior Engineer - Quality located in Sriperumbudur.

What a typical day looks like:

• Lead potential new supplier assessment / selection and maintain Flex approved supplier list.

• Facilitate completion of Supplier Technical Feasibility Commitment process to ensure supplier Production Process & Quality engineers, and APQP managers understand Customer requirements.

• Manage supplier APQP / project management process to ensure suppliers tooling and production, and PPAP schedules support Customer schedule requirements.

• When appropriate, conduct on-site supplier process assessments to define process improvement action plans.

• Support Plant quality engineers needs to help suppliers manage an effective closed-loop 8D defect prevention process.

• Participate in the planning, developing, and implementing supplier quality engineering procedures and Modine Supplier Manual.

• Manage Supplier Change Management Process effectively and communicate to the Plant at the appropriate stage of production.

• Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards.

• Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues.

• Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues.

• Review and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities.

• Review documentation of inspection results across all areas.

• Monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance understanding any commercial issues and impacts.

• Manage supplier PPM, supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators.

• Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting requirements.

• Prepare the annual Supplier Quality budget and forecasts.

• Strong Knowledge in measurement methods.

• Knowledge in Design of simple gauges and functional gauges.

• Present performance trends and improvements to management, periodically.

The experience we re looking to add to our team:

• Graduate with minimum 6+ years of experience in supplier quality.

• Strong experience in handling injection plastic molding components.

• Experience in handling mechanical commodities.

• Experience in reviewing & updating supplier quality audit plan.

• Monitoring the Supplier Rejection Analysis.

• Conduct training programs for employees in QMS.

• Experience in Quality Improvement tools like FMEA, SPC, SQC, MSA, 7QC Tools, 8D etc.
