We’re looking for an engineer with hands-on experience in building high-performance networking and security software within distributed environments across L3–L7 layers-think proxies, gateways, and firewalls. You have a strong grasp of core networking concepts and protocols like TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTPS, IPSec, GRE, and VPNs.
You bring depth in areas like load balancing, SSL termination, packet inspection, and transparent proxy configurations.
Solid working knowledge of firewalls is a must.
Practical familiarity with systems like NGINX, HAProxy, Envoy, Kong, or mitmproxy is highly valued-bonus points if you understand their internals and can tailor or extend them to fit specific needs.
