Senior Engineer New Product Development Injection Molding - Oragadam

We are hirirng for Senior Engineer NPD for our Electronics Manufacturing Component plastic Injection Moding in Oragadam Chennai.

Job Scope

Responsible for planning and coordinating projects, supervising teams, and researching new products. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

defining problems, interpreting, and applying information, developing solutions, and making decisions.

• Managing Feasibility study, contract review, BOM and ECN

• Responsible for coordinating the molding efforts on new program launches, setting up and/or revising manufacturing processes and assisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements.

• Develop new processes, assess and document new and existing processes. Implement and evaluate changes to existing processes designed to improve product quality, productivity and overall equipment efficiency.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians, operators and other molding personnel.

• Develop and maintain process documentation ensuring that processes and procedures are clearly stated and understandable for all production staffs.

• Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, improve yield and throughput, drive cost reduction activities and improve on part quality

. • Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate and shut down process related equipment. Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues

• Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues. • Monitor and report issues with injection molds, make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and tooling history. •Implement technical solutions including statistical methodology to meet customer cost, quality, and delivery expectations

• Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.

• Failure Analysis and conducting DOE to improve product Dimensional and Cosmetics issues. •Preparing and updating SOP for all new and existing processes.

• Implementing Check list to record all critical Process control parameters.

• To ensure strict compliance to ISO 9001:2015 & 1SO14001 procedures in Production.

Staying up to date with international engineering trends.

• Estimating costs and timelines.

• Training other engineering personnel

Key Requirements

•Any Diploma / Degree or Equivalent in Engineering

• Strong in data analysis and GD&T.

•Minimum 5 years of Injection Tooling Maintenance and Molding work experience in Precision Injection Molding Industries.

• Strong and diverse technical background in injection Tooling, Design, molding processing, Plastic materials, equipment,, manufacturing and quality.

• Proficient in MS-Office.
