Job & Division Summary:
This position will be responsible for new product development and value engineering projects for industrial lifting and ergonomics products. This person will lead project from conceptualization to successful launch with minimal technical mentorship. This involves understanding the product requirements, prepare conceptual design, resolve technical challenges, lead design review, prototype and product validation build. This person must be a team player, form strong ties with cross functional team, communicate clearly, and be effective and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead project from start to launch for industrial lifting and ergonomics new product development using product development process.
- Develop product concepts as well as part design and detailing using 3D software.
- Lead design review throughout product development cycle.
- Lead product teardown session and benchmarking against competitors.
- Design and develop test fixture for product validation.
- Engineering documentation to include bills of material, test specifications and lab reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal operations team for product build and validation.
Mandatory Skills
- Skilled in designing, developing, and optimizing electro-mechanical products
- Knowledge in pneumatic / electro-pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems and selection of standard components like valves, gearboxes, motors etc.,
- Proficient in hand calculations to verify design.
- Proficient in GD&T and tolerance stack up.
- In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing processes (machining, casting,).
- DFMEA and Design Validation plan.
- Familiar with Certification standards for industrial lifting products
- Skilled in 3D modeling and design with Creo CAD software
- Skilled in managing engineering data and workflows using windchill PLM
Desired Skills
- Proficient in performing finite element analysis (FEA) for component level using pro-mechanical software
Education and Experience

BE/B.Tech
in mechanical engineering
from a reputed university
- 5-7 years of experience in industrial lifting and ergonomics new product development
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a global environment across different time zones.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time and complete simultaneous multiple assignments.
