Major Areas of Responsibilities

• Develop, debug and test analog and digital power electronic circuits for lighting application


• Design and selection of components like magnetics, FETs, IGBTs, SCRs, ICs, micro-controllers etc.


• Simulate the design, create schematics/board layout and prepare functional prototype


• Carry out validation and reliability testing of components and circuit


• Formulate SOPs and carry out tests as per standard


• Come up with new ideas and innovations which can solve consumer pain points


• Maintain test records, analyze and share observation/suggestions with the relevant stakeholders


• Carry out root cause analysis of failed samples and plan for corrective actions


• Evaluate LED driver suppliers on the required parameters & formulate test plan


• Carry our process improvements at supplier


• Gracefully adjust to meet changing circumstances such as reorganizations, reassignment of project priority, changes in strategic direction, and customer needs


• Handle ambiguity in problem definition, have a good handle on business value and have the initiative to shape problems and projects so that they deliver maximum impact

Requirement

We are looking for a highly skilled product design engineer with knowledge of interdisciplinary engineering fundamentals in power electronics, who can define and design system level approaches to solve fundamental consumer problems. The candidate must have highest level of ingenuity and creativity who can work on multiple parallel approaches while solving problems and arrive at the simplest, manufacturable and cost-effective solution.

Essential Qualification : BE in Electricals or E&E

Experience : 5-8 years

Industry Preference : Power Electronics design, BLDC & Induction motor controllers, control & simulation for LED lamp drivers, Induction heaters, mixer grinder etc.
