Senior Electronics Engineer – Flight Controller


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design & development of electronic hardware for UAV flight controllers.
  • Architect redundant, fault-tolerant systems for mission-critical operations.
  • Integrate and validate sensors (IMU, GPS, magnetometer, barometer, airspeed).
  • Design power distribution & management systems for UAV avionics.
  • Work with high-speed interfaces & protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, RS-485).
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC & defense-grade standards (MIL-STD, DO-160).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, mechanical, systems).
  • Perform HIL testing & flight trials for verification.
  • Mentor junior engineers & prepare technical documentation.



Key Skills

  • Strong expertise in embedded electronics, microcontrollers, SoCs (ARM, STM32, TI, NXP, etc.).
  • Experience in sensor fusion hardware integration.
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD).
  • Hands-on with debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer).
  • Familiarity with redundant avionics & fail-safe architectures.
  • Knowledge of aerospace/defense standards (MIL-STD-810, DO-160).
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and analytical skills.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Avionics, Embedded Systems, or related.
  • 5–10 years of electronics hardware design experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years in UAV/avionics systems.
  • Prior experience in flight controller or avionics development highly preferred.
