Senior Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic, hard working Engineer to lead the team of engineers on campus. He will be required to constantly asses the equipment, performance, check the preventive maintenance, suggest upgradation etc. Trouble shooting during a crisis and to be the point of contact for all things related to engineering services.

What we do in Engineering services:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance & Operations:

• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems including HT/LT distribution, UPS, generators, lighting, and BMS systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for breakdowns; ensure rapid resolutions and corrective actions.
• Monitor energy usage and implement efficiency measures (power factor correction, load balancing).
• Plan and supervise electrical projectsupgrades, expansions, relocations, integration of new systems (e.g., EV charging, renewable systems).
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and liaise with architects, IT teams, and contractors.
• Review contractor deliverables, ensure adherence to standards and specifications, conduct commissioning.
• Coordinate with vendors for service contracts (AMC), spare part procurement, and asset lifecycle planning.
• Track and manage inventory of critical spares; oversee maintenance shutdowns and CAPEX projects.

CANDIDATE PREFERRENCE:

• Previously handled supervising and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors; allocate tasks and inspect work quality.
• Conducting training, performance evaluations, and promote continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and safety codes; perform periodic audits, earthing tests.
• Maintain records maintenance logs, equipment specs, test reports, energy data, permits.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering.

• 7 to 15+

  years of experience
• Experience with energy tools, BMS systems.
• Strong project management capabilitiesbudgeting, scheduling, procurement, commissioning.

• Salary:

  1 to 4 Lakhs per month

• Notice Period:

  Immediate to 1 month

• Location:

  In or around Thoraipakkam
