About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD (CAD) to join our MEP design and BIM team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing complete electrical system designs, including panel layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, and ELV systems, ensuring precision, coordination, and compliance with project and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Design & Drafting:

Design and develop electrical panel layouts, control schematics, and wiring diagrams in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), power distribution layouts, lighting layouts, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) system drawings.

Perform load calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit and voltage drop calculations as per project requirements.

Ensure all drawings are detailed, accurate, and aligned with regulatory and client standards.

Revit MEP & BIM Coordination:

Create and manage Revit MEP models for electrical systems, ensuring accurate coordination with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.

Utilize BIM workflows to conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues efficiently.

Generate 2D and 3D views, layouts, and schedules from Revit models for documentation and review.

Control Systems & Panels:

Design DDC and PLC panels, including GA drawings, control schematics, and terminal wiring diagrams.

Prepare I/O lists, panel layouts, and interconnection drawings in compliance with IEC and IS standards.

Documentation & Standards:

Develop and maintain design documentation, including BOQs, datasheets, cable schedules, and technical reports.

Ensure adherence to relevant standards such as IEC, IS, BS, and NFPA.

Review vendor drawings and support in technical evaluations.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate closely with other design disciplines to deliver integrated and coordinated MEP designs.

Provide technical assistance during design reviews, site coordination, and commissioning phases.

Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD and Revit standards within the design team.

Technical Skills Required:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP (mandatory).

Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, panel engineering, and ELV systems.

Familiarity with BIM workflows, model coordination, and documentation standards.

Working knowledge of Dialux / Relux for lighting calculations and ETAP for power system studies (preferred).

Understanding of MEP coordination, BIM integration, and industry codes (IEC, IS, NFPA, BS).

Qualifications:

B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
