The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for hands-on conceptual and detailed design of solar electrical, civil, and structural components , with strong expertise in HT/LT systems, AC/DC design , and supporting civil and structural development for utility-scale and C&I solar projects. Lead and actively perform conceptual and detailed design of solar electrical, civil, and structural systems . Prepare and update Solar Plant Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) . Carry out design reviews of electrical, civil, and structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical studies. Provide direct support in structural design activities , including racking and foundation systems. Handle and coordinate civil/structural scope , including: Pile design & analysis Corrosion analysis Geo-technical investigations & interpretation Construction material testing Racking / mounting structure design Use engineering software like STAAD Pro, SolidWorks, Civil 3D, AutoCAD (mandatory) and other relevant design tools as per Indian & American Codes/Standards . Prepare detailed drawings (architectural, fabrication & construction), design calculations , and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for solar power projects. Support project execution teams with design clarifications, revisions, and site coordination .
Lead the design and optimization of solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and electrical regulations. Electrical designing of LT/11KV and upto 33KV solar plant. Manage cross-functional teams to execute solar projects from inception through installation and commissioning. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine optimal solar solutions for diverse client needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative strategies that enhance the performance and efficiency of solar installations. Stay abreast of advancements in solar technology and regulatory changes to inform project decisions. Preparing detailed drawings (including architectural, fabrication, and construction), design calculations and Bill of quantities for development of solar power project. Shadow Analysis and Contour Mapping Documentation regarding submission, revision & approval as per Master Drawing List (MDL). Doing AC & DC cable sizing, earthing calculation, PV system Reports, string configurations. Design review of Electrical, civil and structural plans, specifications, calculations, and studies.
