Job Title: Structural Design Engineer

Location: Chennai / Trichy

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Structural Design Engineer with expertise in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, ETABS, and STAAD Pro to join our multidisciplinary design team. The candidate will be responsible for the structural design, modeling, and detailing of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory codes.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Design & Drafting:

Develop structural layouts, plans, and reinforcement detailing using AutoCAD and Revit Structure.

Prepare general arrangement (GA) drawings, shop drawings, and connection details for steel and concrete structures.

Conduct structural analysis and design for building components, including beams, columns, slabs, foundations, and retaining structures using ETABS and STAAD Pro.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of all drawings and calculations according to relevant codes and standards.

BIM & Coordination:

Create and manage Revit Structure/BIM models for structural systems, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and MEP disciplines.

Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts using BIM coordination processes.

Generate 2D drawings, 3D views, and schedules for project review, approvals, and construction purposes.

Documentation & Standards:

Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and bill of quantities (BOQ).

Ensure compliance client-specific standards.

Review vendor and contractor submissions for structural compliance.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to deliver coordinated and constructible designs.

Support construction and site teams during execution, providing clarifications and technical guidance.

Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD/Revit templates, design libraries, and BIM standards.

Technical Skills Required:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, ETABS, and STAAD Pro.

Strong knowledge of structural design principles for steel, concrete, and composite structures.

Ability to produce detailed reinforcement drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.

Familiarity with construction practices, codes, and standards.

Experience with BIM coordination, clash detection, and multi-disciplinary integration.

Qualifications:

B.E / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering.
