As a Software Developer at Dreamcast, your role involves developing and maintaining robust server-side applications using technologies such as Node.js, Laravel, and Nest.js. You will design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness across various devices and platforms. Your key responsibilities include: - Managing databases, optimizing queries, and implementing data storage solutions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Participating in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge with peers. - Troubleshooting and debugging applications to optimize performance and reliability. - Conducting unit testing and ensuring code quality through aggressive testing methods. - Contributing to architectural decisions and improvements for highly scalable applications. - Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance skills. - Integrating third-party services and APIs to extend application capabilities. - Documenting development processes, code changes, and technical specifications. - Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives. - Working closely with product managers to align development with business objectives. - Mentoring junior developers, providing guidance on best practices and coding standards. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Node.js and Laravel. - Strong understanding of the Nest.js framework and its capabilities. - Proven experience with RESTful API design and development. - Knowledge of AWS and Redis. - Hands-on experience with database systems such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. - Keen understanding of microservices architecture principles. - Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. - Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. - Experience in Agile software development methodologies. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts. - Passion for coding and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus. - Knowledge of CI/CD processes is desirable. - Willingness to learn new technologies and expand skill sets.
