Senior Draughtsman – Architecture

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Translate conceptual designs and sketches into precise technical drawings for submission, tender, and construction.
• Review and check drawings prepared by junior draughtsmen and ensure alignment with design standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure drawing consistency across disciplines.
• Manage drawing documentation, revisions, and record control in accordance with project and company standards.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, bye-laws, and architectural standards.
• Prepare working drawings and shop drawings for construction and site execution.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and assist in resolving design-related queries.
• Mentor, guide, and train junior draughtsmen and interns in drafting best practices.
• Support site teams with technical drawings, clarifications, and updates as required.
• Experience in residential, commercial, institutional, or mixed-use building projects.
• Exposure to BIM workflows and digital documentation practices.
• Knowledge of sustainable building design standards (LEED, IGBC) is an advantage.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma/Bachelor in Architectural Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience as a Draughtsman in an architectural design or construction firm.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, and knowledge of SketchUp and 3ds Max is an advantage.
• In-depth understanding of architectural design, detailing, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with local building bye-laws, NBC norms, and municipal submission standards.
• Ability to interpret design intent, coordinate multidisciplinary drawings, and produce high-quality output.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
