Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, AWS Lambda, managed EKS, Kafka monitoring, AWS Inspector, Terraform, AWS AppConfig, and Argo CD. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure secure, scalable, and automated delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• CI/CD & Automation
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for multi-environment deployments.
  • Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD for Kubernetes-based applications.
  • Automate operational tasks using AWS Lambda for compliance checks, notifications, and remediation.
• Cloud & Container Management
  • Manage AWS EKS clusters: deployments, scaling, upgrades, and security hardening.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka clusters for consumer lag, ISR health, and throughput.
• Infrastructure as Code
  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules for AWS infrastructure provisioning.
  • Implement policy-as-code and ensure drift detection and remediation.
• Configuration & Security
  • Configure application environments using AWS AppConfig (feature flags, configuration profiles).
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and compliance checks using AWS Inspector.
  • Enforce IAM best practices and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring & Observability
  • Set up dashboards and alerts for EKS, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability through proactive monitoring and incident response.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and CI/CD best practices.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services: Lambda, EKS, AppConfig, Inspector.
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Kafka monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Helm/Kustomize.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure Automation.
• Proven track record of implementing secure and scalable CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, and advanced observability.
• Knowledge of OPA/Sentinel for policy enforcement.
• Exposure to blue/green deployments, canary releases, and feature flag strategies.
