Role Overview: As a Senior Design Manager at Bain & Company's Creative Services department, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic design advice to client teams, business partners, and design teams. Your primary focus will be on delivering creative solutions tailored to high-impact client situations and commercial objectives. Managing and mentoring a team of design managers and senior designers will be essential to ensure the delivery of design solutions that meet client requirements and expectations. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning. Responsibilities: - Act as an expert integrated designer and project manager, setting clear expectations with client teams, business partners, and design teams on scope, resources, time, and budget. - Serve as a strategic advisor and design partner to the business, offering innovative design solutions to support Bain's client and commercial activities. - Partner with senior leadership on financial planning and scaling regional design services, including roadmap planning, headcount planning, and resource management. - Lead regional/global opportunities for team and design service growth and performance improvements. - Manage and mentor a team of Design Managers and senior designers to deliver design solutions, ensuring adherence to Creative Services KPIs and Bain Operating Principles. - Cultivate a team environment that promotes growth, learning, and development, encouraging individuals and teams to reach their full potential. - Coach and guide individual performance and growth through feedback, project debriefs, and professional development check-ins, celebrating contributions and collaboration. Qualifications: - 10+ years of work experience. - Senior leadership experience with regional/global virtual teams. - Expertise in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. - Fluency in written and spoken English. - Excellent communications and influencing skills. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
