Senior Design Engineer - Consumer Hardware

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the Hardware Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design and development of new hardware products. Your role will involve creating 3D CAD models, testing prototypes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure optimal product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and development of KOKO's next-generation consumer hardware - Conceptualize, design, and iterate on prototypes, focusing on efficiency, durability, and cost - Conduct detailed engineering calculations and advanced computer simulations to validate and optimize designs - Serve as a technical lead, guiding the product from concept to mass production - Continuously research new technologies and conduct tests to enhance consumer hardware design Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering / Master of Engineering in Mechanical or Mechatronics - 5+ years of experience in design engineering of mechanical products - Strong track record of developing hardware product designs through to production - Knowledge of materials, particularly steel sheet metal and plastics, and manufacturing processes - Familiarity with National & International standards for mechanical products - Experience in prototyping processes for metals and plastics - Proficiency in 3D CAD tools like SolidWorks and 2D sketches - Skills in designing for testability, reliability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness - Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Details: KOKO Networks values its employees and aims to provide a conducive environment for professional growth and impact.
