Senior Data Governance Specialist

Skills:

7+ years in data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
Proven experience implementing governance in large organizations.
Expertise in MDM, data architecture, and cloud governance (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong knowledge of frameworks like
DAMA DMBOK
,
DCAM
, or
EDM Council
.
Conduct current state analysis and identify data governance gaps.
Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies.
Define roles (ownership, stewardship) and embed governance across systems.
Ensure data readiness for AI/ML, including ethical use and compliance.
Create a long-term governance strategy and execution roadmap.
Produce at least two formal policies (e.g., Data Quality, Responsible AI).
Lead training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and training skills.
Bachelors or Master’s in Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience supporting AI/ML data strategies.
Familiarity with compliance and security policies.
