Senior Data Governance Specialist

As a Senior Consultant at EY specializing in Data Governance tools like Informatica EDC and AXON, your role will involve the end-to-end implementation and management of solutions to support data governance and data management initiatives. You will work closely with teams to integrate data governance tools with existing systems and processes, conduct metadata management, data lineage tracking, and data cataloging activities to enhance data visibility and governance. Additionally, you will support the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, create documentation, provide training to end-users, and engage in business development efforts. **Responsibilities:** - Assist in implementing data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, and other relevant technologies to align with business requirements. - Collaborate with data governance teams and IT to integrate tools with existing data management systems and processes. - Conduct metadata management, data lineage tracking, and data cataloging activities to enhance data visibility and governance. - Support the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. - Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and user guides. - Provide training and support to end-users and technical staff on the effective use of data governance tools. - Engage in current state assessments to evaluate data quality, management practices, and governance principles. - Assist in business development efforts, including proposal support and client presentations. **Must-have skills:** - Proven experience with data governance tools like Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or similar technologies. - Strong understanding of data management and governance principles, including metadata management and data lineage. - Ability to articulate technical solutions to meet complex business requirements effectively. - Experience in preparing training materials and conducting user education sessions. - Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA, CMMI, or NDMO. **Good to have:** - Experience with data quality tools, including data profiling, implementation of data quality rules, and activating data quality tools. - Experience in publishing and visualizing data governance and data quality results in various Data Visualization and BI tools.
