Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic

team. In this role, you will focus on full-stack development, working on innovative solutions

that drive our research initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams,

including product management, design, and leadership, to deliver high-quality software that

meets the needs of our users and drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable & performant web applications using React

for the front end and Node.js for the back end.

• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into

technical specifications and implement features that enhance user experience.

• Implement robust back-end services using Node.js and SQL/NoSQL to support

interactive dashboard functionalities and data management.

• Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Utilize React to create responsive and engaging front-end components that enhance

user experience.

• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, primarily AWS, ensuring high

availability and security.

• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a

culture of continuous improvement.

• Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to help them grow in

their roles.

• Contribute to the development of reports and other analytical tools to support

research initiatives.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance our

technology stack.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a

related field.

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on building

interactive web applications.

• Proficiency in React, Node.js, and SQL/NoSQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including services like EC2, S3,

Lambda, and RDS.

• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices for

dashboard design.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part

of a team.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work

effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in developing analytics dashboards, particularly in the healthcare or

research domain.

• Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js) and tools.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Apache Druid) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data reporting tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in healthcare.
