Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst at Morningstar India Private Ltd., located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in managing investment data and ensuring its accuracy and completeness to meet business objectives. Your responsibilities will include: - Actively collecting managed investment data using Morningstar collection systems. - Managing relationships with Asset Management companies, insurance companies, and other data vendors. - Collaborating with quality assurance, products, and technical departments to address clients" data issues promptly. - Participating in global data collection platform consolidation initiatives and supporting database integration projects. - Establishing and achieving Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) under the guidance of the team lead. - Monitoring, analyzing, and generating summary reports to identify and resolve potential data errors. - Identifying and raising issues in work processes and proposing enhancements to improve system functionality and data quality. - Contributing to data and process-related projects such as market research, market expansion, and new product development support. - Facilitating cross-team projects to implement approved solutions based on priority and impact. - Demonstrating ownership of processes and acting as a process trainer and mentor. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in the finance domain, focusing on collection systems and methodologies, senior data research analyst role or above. - ESG experience is desirable. - Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with advanced skills preferred. Knowledge of SQL, Macro, Python, and machine learning is a plus. - Strong critical thinking skills and effective communication abilities. - Understanding of data competencies such as data content expertise and data analysis. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong written and verbal communication skills. - Team player with good learning ability and self-motivation in a fast-paced work environment. - Ability to manage planned activities like training new hires and conducting quality checks. - Experience working under tight deadlines and handling pressure during peak seasons. - Proficient in project management with a track record of independently working on and delivering projects. - Remote team working experience is advantageous. - Flexibility to work in shifts.
