Job Description

Position:

Remote Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage day-to-day
Cybersecurity Operations (SecOps)
, ensuring proactive threat detection, response, and mitigation.
Implement and manage
Google SecOps (Chronicle Security Operations)
platform for monitoring, detection, and investigation.
Operate and optimize
Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR)
services for enhanced visibility and faster incident resolution.
Perform security event analysis, threat hunting, incident triage, and root cause analysis.
Develop and tune detection rules, playbooks, and automation workflows.
Collaborate with SOC teams, IT, and business stakeholders to improve security posture.
Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on advanced cyber threats and response techniques.
Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
612 years of hands-on experience in
Cybersecurity Operations
or
Security Operations Centers (SOC)
.
Proven expertise in
Google SecOps / Chronicle Security Operations
platform.
Strong knowledge and hands-on exposure to
MXDR platforms (e.g., Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Cortex, or similar)
.
Proficiency in SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR solutions, threat intelligence, and incident response.
In-depth understanding of
cyberattack techniques, MITRE ATT&CK framework, malware analysis, and network forensics
.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Preferred certifications:
GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CISSP, or Google Cloud Security certification
.
