Senior Cost Accountant

As a Senior Cost Accountant at Varex Imaging, operating from the Pune, India office, you will play a crucial role in analyzing costs associated with products or services. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing the cost of materials, labor, overheads, and other direct or indirect costs. - Coordinating the maintenance of standard cost data and accounting for manufacturing variances, scrap, rework cost, excess & obsolescence, and product returns. - Interacting with departments to recommend and implement process improvements. - Providing cost accounting support to global subsidiaries. - Working on warranty, capitalized variances, material recovery, non-conformance, intercompany, and other inventory matters. - Assisting in the resolution of Intercompany and 3rd party issues. - Ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, company policies, and industry regulations. - Preparing month-end and year-end closing entries and reconciliations. - Contributing to internal reporting through the creation and distribution of monthly reports. - Performing special projects. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in accounting. - CMA or CPA preferred. - Advanced knowledge of Excel and all Microsoft products, experience with SAP preferred. - Innate systems thinker with collaboration skills. - Ability to identify and resolve issues independently. - 7+ years of experience in related accounting roles preferred.
