Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Chemist to join our team in Gujarat This role will be instrumental in driving R&D efforts, improving product formulations, and supporting the scale-up and manufacturing processes The ideal candidate will have a passion for cosmetic science, a meticulous eye for detail, and a strong ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and optimization of skin care, cosmetic, and oral care formulations Conduct stability, compatibility, and efficacy studies for new products Ensure compliance with local and international cosmetic regulations and quality standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, production, packaging, and marketing Evaluate raw materials, source alternatives, and maintain updated technical documentation (PIF, MSDS, COA, etc) Troubleshoot formulation or manufacturing challenges and implement corrective actions Mentor and guide junior chemists and lab technicians Support innovation projects and contribute to trend-based product ideation Coordinate with third-party labs and regulatory bodies as required

Required Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

M Sc / B Tech / M Tech in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field Certification in Cosmetic Formulation or GMP/GLP is a plus

Hard Skills:

Strong formulation skills across emulsions, gels, serums, pastes, and powders Proficiency in analytical methods and lab instrumentation (eg pH meters, viscometers, HPLC, etc) Deep understanding of cosmetic ingredients and their interactions Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (BIS, FDA, EU, etc) Technical report writing and formulation documentation

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities Attention to detail and quality orientation Innovation-driven mindset with a proactive approach

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in cosmetic, personal care, or oral care product formulation and R&D Experience working in a private label or contract manufacturing setup is highly preferred
