Job Requirements Role Summary WSP is seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join our Bridge group, located at our Bengaluru, India office. Reporting to the Manager, this position will allow the successful applicant to work on various projects, including multi-disciplinary design-bid build and alternative-delivery projects, which allows one to develop experience on coordinating with project managers and design engineers. This includes preparation of preliminary and detailed design drawings, 3D models, Visualisation, checking of structural drawings, calculations of quantities, review of shop drawings, technical documentation, and other related activities . Responsibilities The successful candidate’s role will be as Senior BIM Technician within the Canadian CRC Bridge team in our Bengaluru office, producing detailed bridge and structural drawings for various Canadian projects, including bridges, LRT components, retaining walls, and other related structures. The successful candidate will be expected to handle multiple projects, guide the team members, and prioritize effectively and Passionate about bridges and eager to put CAD/BIM skills to good use. As a Senior BIM/CAD Technician - Bridges at iCRC, you will play a crucial role in our design and development process. Will work closely with our team of engineers to create detailed technical drawings and plans for a variety of bridge projects. Ability to use CAD/BIM software and understanding of bridge design principles will be essential to success in this role. In addition to creating and revising detailed drawings, you will also be responsible for collaborating with the engineering team to ensure that designs are accurate and comply with industry standards. Opportunities shall be provided to work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale bridge repairs to large-scale bridge constructions, allowing for to expand and refine the skills in the bridge discipline. To excel in this role, the candidate must have a strong understanding of BIM softwares, such as Revit, Open Bridge Modeler, AutoCAD and Microstation, and have a keen eye for detail. Key Competencies / Skills: Mandatory Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bentley software. Proven ability to develop drawings (plans, sections & details) from the engineer's basic sketches to full working drawings Must be well-versed in the preparation of detailed bridge and related structural drawings. Contribution towards digital delivery using Dynamo, Sofistik or script-based automation. Good English communication skills. Desired Skills Knowledge of Civil3D, Revit, Sofistik, and MicroStation software. Canadian project experience and knowledge of Canadian design standards are advantageous. International Project collaboration with the lead regions shall be an additional advantage. Qualifications Diploma or Equivalent in Engineering in a relevant field with at least 8 years of relevant experience with a consultancy or public institution.
