Senior BI Developer (Tableau) SaaS Solution We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our growing team of a venture-backed digital health startup dedicated to bringing clarity to the specialty biopharmaceutical industry. You will lead BI development efforts, working closely with engineering leaders, product management, and architects to design and deliver configurable, embedded reports and dashboards for our SaaS platform. Your contributions will help biotech and pharmaceutical companies gain critical insights that drive business and clinical success. Responsibilities: Design and deliver innovative, configurable, multi-tenant BI dashboards within a web-based SaaS solution using Tableau. Lead a team of BI developers, managing multiple projects concurrently with a focus on delivering creative and high-impact solutions. Develop data analytics solutions (reports, data mining, data extraction) to support business decisions. Collaborate across teams and business units to create advanced Tableau dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. Drive projects through the Agile software development lifecycle , from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Work closely with architects, principal engineers, and product managers to define scalable architecture that supports real-time, low-latency, high-availability reporting . Partner with the data engineering team to integrate Tableau with various data sources (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, MySQL) and ensure data accuracy and transformations . Proactively resolve reporting or data issues, diagnosing problems quickly and efficiently. Mentor junior and offshore developers, providing technical guidance and support to help them grow and succeed. Demonstrate adaptability and resilience, thriving in a dynamic startup environment where challenges are embraced. Develop and maintain secure, high-quality production code , reviewing and debugging others work to ensure consistency and reliability. Ensure the operational readiness of services by delivering on commitments related to reliability, availability, and performance . Document processes, data models, and developed dashboards to maintain transparency and consistency across the team. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends , leveraging them to foster innovation in the BI platform. Who You Are: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on interactive report and dashboard development . 5+ years of BI development experience using Tableau and a deep understanding of the Tableau suite of products. Proficiency with back-end databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Postgres . Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent technical experience . Exceptional communication skills to present data-driven insights and technical solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders. Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban), driving fast-paced, high-impact releases. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment , with experience in both enterprise-class software releases and short SaaS product life cycles . Experience using bug tracking tools like Jira to manage development and issue resolution. Enthusiasm, energy, and adaptability to navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing startup environment.
