As a Lead Analytics Consultant in the Data and Analytics Services team at Sun Life, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative visual analytics solutions to enhance decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with data engineers, business data analysts, and operations teams, providing plans and estimates for reporting initiatives, setting up reporting standards guidelines, documenting best practices for dashboard development, and guiding developers to ensure quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the engagement life cycle - Provide plans and estimates for reporting initiatives - Set up reporting standards guidelines and document best practices for dashboard development - Guide developers to ensure quality outcomes - Maintain standards for analysis and reporting - Facilitate group meetings for solution design - Turn complex data into easy-to-understand visual insights aligned with business objectives Qualifications Required: - Minimum graduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent - 10+ years of total experience - Expertise in visual analytics and design principles - 8+ years of experience in tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or QuickSight - Proficiency in SQL programming - Experience in agile development environments - Ability to create complex calculations and implement advanced dashboard practices - Expertise in dashboard designing and development - Setting up best practices for BI reporting teams - Experience with PostgreSQL - End-to-end testing of dashboards - Strong visual design expertise - Ability to draw meaningful business insights from data - Excellent communication skills - Strong problem-solving aptitude Your success in this role will depend on your ability to work independently, manage engagements directly with business partners, and deliver smart analytical apps for decision-making.
