Overview

ChicMic Studios is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Backend Python Developer to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Django, DRF, AWS, and SQL, along with strong knowledge of backend security, scalable architectures, and performance optimization. Experience with payment gateways, microservices, and real-time systems will be a big plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale web applications using Django & DRF.
• Integrate and manage payment gateways with secure transaction handling.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, ensuring data integrity and transaction management.
• Work with Redis and Celery for caching, task queues, and background jobs.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Implement strong security practices (CSRF, SQL Injection prevention, JWT, encryption).
• Build and maintain microservices architectures for scalability and modularity.
• Develop WebSocket-based solutions for real-time chat and notifications.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and scalable solutions.
• Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability.
• Stay up to date with emerging tech, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong expertise in Python, Django, DRF.
• Hands-on experience with payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of SQL, database optimization, and transaction handling.
• Experience with Redis & Celery for distributed task management.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services for deployment & scaling.
• In-depth understanding of security implementations (CSRF, SQL Injection prevention, JWT).
• Experience with microservices and API development.
• Exposure to WebSockets and real-time communication systems.
• Proficiency in unit testing and writing clean, maintainable, testable code.
• Familiarity with front-end basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication & team collaboration abilities.
