Senior Backend Developer (Python)

You are a seasoned Senior Software Engineer (Backend) with extensive experience in Python, AWS, and database management, both SQL and NoSQL. Your responsibilities will include designing and building backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability. You will develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code, integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will implement solutions using AWS services, particularly AWS Lambdas, optimizing application performance and managing costs effectively within an AWS-driven cloud ecosystem. You will also be responsible for managing and implementing SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security. Collaboration with other team members and stakeholders is key in brainstorming sessions for system architecture and software design. Your role will involve mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of backend development experience. Profound knowledge of AWS services, especially AWS Lambdas, and strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases are essential. You should be comfortable working with DevOps practices and tools, understanding security best practices in software development, and diagnosing and optimizing application performance. Experience working in an Agile development environment, mentoring junior developers, leading technical discussions, and contributing to strategic planning are also required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are important for articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. An eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks and adapt to changing technological landscapes is a plus. Preferred experience includes 4-6 years of experience crafting large-scale software solutions, with specific experience in Python, AWS (Serverless Architecture, Lambda, Dynamo DB), and a cumulative industry experience of 4+ years.
