Senior Backend Developer

You are a Senior Backend Developer with team lead responsibilities, focusing on building out an analytics product at a company located in Cochin. As a key member of the Backend team, you will be in charge of designing, developing, and deploying features and systems that drive the core product. Your primary responsibility will be to own the development platform built in Nodejs and Go, which supports various technologies such as Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. Key Responsibilities: - Design a scalable architecture to handle high Transaction Per Second (TPS) and large databases. - Enhance and expand the current feature set by creating clean, well-tested APIs. - Implement effective monitoring and alerting systems for performance and availability on both existing and new features owned by your team. - Proficiency in NodeJS, Express, and MongoDB is essential. - Demonstrate strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. - Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to iterate on the product. - Engage in design and code reviews to ensure high quality and efficiency. Qualifications Required: - Programming Languages: Go, Ruby, JavaScript, Java, Python. - Frameworks / Libraries: Node JS, React JS, Rails, HighCharts, D3 Charts, BizCharts, Kafka, Hadoop, Spark. - Storage / Databases: MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Memcache, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, GraphDB. - Operating Systems: Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS, Debian. - Tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes. Nice to have: - Experience in the data/analytics domain. - Openness to learning and adapting to emerging technologies. - Ability to lead and develop a team of senior engineers. - Lead engineering discussions and mentor other team members on best practices.
