Senior Automation Tester

Job Summary: Vrize is looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Automation Tester with solid expertise in Selenium and Playwright, preferably with exposure to AI-driven testing tools. This role is for a strategic project and relevant domain experience in financial services, pawn lending, or retail is a definite plus. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is passionate about delivering high-quality automation solutions end-to-end. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation test frameworks using Selenium and Playwright. Automate web, API and mobile test cases, integrate with CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA leads to identify test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Investigate and implement AI-powered testing tools or frameworks to enhance automation efficiency and coverage. Perform detailed defect analysis and provide root cause reporting. Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in test automation. Ensure automation scripts are kept up to date with application changes. Contribute to test strategy, planning, and execution aligned with agile/scrum processes. Required Skills and Experience: 6+ years of overall QA experience, with a strong focus on automation testing. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright is mandatory. Solid programming/scripting knowledge in Java, JavaScript, or Python. Exposure to AI/ML-based testing tools (like Muuk, Parasoft, Functionize, custom-built solutions etc.) is highly desirable. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps. Proficiency in testing web applications, APIs (using tools like Postman/RestAssured). Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Domain knowledge or prior experience working with financial services/pawn lending/retail clients. Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS). ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
